TJG Fantasy Football - Week 18

Posted by Alister Baldwin on Friday, December 27, 2013,

Week 18 - Man City beat Liverpool 2 - 1 but Brendan Rodgers is not a happy bunny with the officials. "I am not one that berates referees at all after games, I always respect them. I ask my staff to be respectful." - "I just thought they were horrendous, biased, cheating bastards!". Man Utd went 2 - 0 down early against Hull City but battled back to turn it into a 3 - 2 win. Arsenal returned to the Top of the League after a comeback against West Ham that included Theo Walcott's first ever he...

TJG Fantasy Football - Week 17

Posted by Alister Baldwin on Thursday, December 26, 2013,

Week 17 - This week saw the sad passing of broadcasting legend, David Coleman. He was of course famous for the 'Colemanballs' gaffs. "The future isn't about yesterday, it's about today", David Pleat. "Of course mistakes are made, some are even accidental", Graham Taylor. There's no argument, he's arguably in the form of his life", Mark Lawrenson.

Spurs gave the job to Tim Sherwood after his masterstroke of bringing Emanuel Adebayor in from the cold to score 2 goals in a great 3 - 2 win at Sou...

TJG Fantasy Football - Week 16

Posted by Alister Baldwin on Tuesday, December 17, 2013,

Week 16 - Were Spurs right to get rid of AVB after a humiliating, embarrassing, nowhere to hide, 5 - 0 home defeat to Liverpool? A bit harsh considering that they spent £100m on some rubbish players. Luis Suarez was at it again with 2 more goals and 3 assists and who needs Gerrard when you've got Jordan Henderson! Arsenal's title ambitions took a hammering at Man City going down 6 - 3 in a lunchtime thriller. Fernandinho scoring his first 2 goals for City. Man Utd got back to winning ways wi...

TJG Fantasy Football - Week 15

Week 15 - "He's magic you know, Deulofeu, Deulofeu, he's magic you know". A great strike by the young Everton striker earned them a much deserved draw at Arsenal. Plans for the Sir David Moyes Stand at Old Trafford have been put on hold after another home defeat. The last time Newcastle won at OT Gazza wasn't even an alcoholic. He was only 5 years old though, a good 7 years before a Geordie reaches their drinking prime! At Selhurst Park Tony Pulis is weaving his magic, with 2 home wins in a w...

TJG Fantasy Football - Week 14

Posted by Alister Baldwin on Thursday, December 5, 2013,

Week 14 - Luis Suarez has scored 11 goals in 4 games against Norwich but could only manage 4 last night! David Moyes finally saw Everton win at Old Trafford, only problem he was in the wrong dugout. Man City finally won away from home but nearly threw away a 3 goal lead and Chelsea came out on top in a 7 goal thriller at the Stadium of Light, with Eden Hazard in inspired form. Is he the best Chelsea player since his dad Micky Hazard played in the late 80's? Arsenal stay top with a routine win...

TJG Fantasy Football - Week 13

Posted by Alister Baldwin on Tuesday, December 3, 2013,

Week 13 - Is Liverpool's charge for that Europa League spot faltering? A 3 -1 defeat to Hull 'Tigers' FC won't do them any favours. Arsenal won again but Aaron Ramsey wasn't celebrating scoring 2 goals against his former team. Chelsea recovered from conceding after 13 seconds to beat Southampton 3 - 1. Spurs held Man Utd 2 - 2 at the Lane, which included a screamer from Sandro. Another player to score an absolute beauty was Sissoko of Newcastle, what a goal! What with Joe Allen last week and ...
