Week 5 - Manchester City thrashed United 4 - 1 to put the pressure on David Moyes. Could Fergie come out of retirement before Christmas? Mesut Özil continued to impress with a hat-trick of assists but the star of the weekend was Leighton Baines with two sublime free kicks to defeat West Ham. Week 4 - Mesut Özil made an impressive start for Arsenal but was upstaged by man of the season Aaron Ramsey with 2 more goals in a 3 - 1 win at Sunderland. Sturridge scored again but Liverpool lost their 100% record despite old boy Jonjo Shelvey gifting them 2 goals. Everton beat Chelsea 1 - 0 in the big game of the weekend.

Week 3 - Super Sunday saw Arsenal beat Spurs 1 - 0 and Liverpool beat Man Utd by the same score. Liverpool top the league for the first time since Bill Shankly was born (100 years ago today) or it at least seems that long! Gareth Bale finally went to Real Madrid for a few million €uros and Mesut Özil joined the Premiership on deadline day.
