Month 5 December 2017
After a marathon month of 7 Game Weeks it was another good month for last years champion Barney Le Fevre who increased his lead to 82 points over Paul Wheatcroft in 2nd. Barney leads with 1339 points, Paul is in 2nd place with 1257 points then comes Neil Burke on 1252 points and Craig Burkert drops to 4th on 1230 points.
The month started really well but trying to be clever caught me out. While everyone was picking Harry (double hat-trick) Kane as captain, I picked 3 point De Bruyne. I comfortably qualified though in the Kick Off Cup in 15th place.
MOTM for December was again shared this time between Barney Le Fevre and Ben Wareing with 470 points. They each pick up £37.50. Ted Barnwell was the unlucky person this month missing out by only 4 points with 466 points.
Rollover '100' - Slight change this season. The first person to score exactly 100 points will win £25, the last person will win £100 (could win both if the only person). If no one scores exactly 100 points it will go to the closest person (first person to be closest). In Week 20 Ben Wareing scored the magical 100 points to claim the £25. He now has to sit tight and hope no one else scores 100 points to pick up the remaining £100.
The Kick Off Cup started in December with the Qualifying Round. The Top 32 (actually 33) players for the month of December live to fight another day. Neil Connolly, Seamus Tunney and Kanav Sehgal just scrapped through with 387 points, while Ade Horn and Mark Jardine just missed out with 385 points each.
Highest Weekly Score Leader - The highest weekly score so far changed this month with Nathan Sims scoring a massive 119 points in Week 19.
