Month 9 April 2019
After a storming 2 months we have a new leader with only 2 weeks to go. Craig Burkert has really set down a marker to lead Barney Le Fevre by just 11 points. It all makes for an exciting finish to the season with Andy Barnett, Dave Groves and Jon Banks, still with an outside chance of victory. Craig leads on 2268 points, Barney on 2257 points then a bit of a gap to Andy on 2214 points and Dave on 2211 points.
I have effectively given up I think as I keep forgetting to pick my team. It's now all about Week 38, Triple Captain, 100 points for me.
MOTM in April was won by Craig Burkert to give him back to back MOTM's to go with his new lead in the Kick Off League. This month turned out to be another amazing battle between Craig and Jon Banks. Both played Bench Boost and Triple Captain in Weeks 35 & 36 and when the dust settled Craig had 358 points and Jon had 356 points. Dave Groves wasn't that far adrift with 343 points.
Rollover '100' - The first person to score exactly 100 points will win £25, the last person will win £100 (could win both if the only person). Finally someone managed to score the magic 100 points in Week 25. That lucky person earning themselves £25 was Jon Banks. April saw 3 players score 99 points but no one got the magic 100 to dislodge Jon. Jon is therefore also in the frame to win £100 (remember it's the last person in the season to score 100 points) with only 2 more weeks to go.
The Kick Off Cup entered the Semi Final stage in April. Barney Le Fevre saw his dream of the double double disappear as he could only finish 3rd behind Dave Groves and Ally Townend. So Dave and Ally will battle it out in May to see who wins the Kick Off Cup 2018 /19.
Highest Weekly Score Winner - We have yet another new highest weekly score leader in Ally Townend who scored a massive 127 points in Week 35, just 1 point ahead of Jon banks the same week.
The TJG League is now also led by Craig Burkert with Andy Barnett slipping into second place after month 9.
