Month 7 February 2019
Last years Champion Barney Le Fevre has risen to the Top of the league after Month 7 (what does he know that we don't?) He's also opened up a nice little lead over Marvin Simmonds, who's moved up himself into 2nd Place. Long time leader Andy Barnett has dropped down to 3rd overall after a poor February. Barney leads with 1729 points, Marvin has 1693 points, then Andy on 1685 points.
I had an okay month but nothing spectacular. The beauty of this competition is though a new month is a fresh start and there's always that chance to win the £100.
MOTM in February was won by Matt Saxby. Matt got off to a great start recording the highest weekly score so far of 118 points (see below) and was able to hold off the challenge from Luke Hughes and Stewart Murdoch. Matt finished with 304 points with Luke and Stewart tied for 2nd with 291 points.
Rollover '100' - The first person to score exactly 100 points will win £25, the last person will win £100 (could win both if the only person). Finally someone managed to score the magic 100 points in Week 25. That lucky person earning themselves £25 was Jon Banks. It's the luck of the draw, Jon had some players score really well and some really bad but the combination was perfect in the end. Jon is therefore also in the frame to win £100 (remember it's the last person in the season to score 100 points).
The Kick Off Cup entered the Round of 16 with the Top 8 qualifying for the Quarter Finals in March. It was quite clear cut this round, with Dave Groves claiming 8th place, 7 points clear of Ted Barnwell.
Highest Weekly Score Winner - We have a new highest weekly score leader in Matt Saxby who scored a massive 118 points in Week 25. This was all the more impressive as it didn't include bench boost or triple captain.
The TJG League is now led by Marvin Simmonds with Andy Barnett 2nd after Month 7.
