Month 2 September 2018
After a great start to the season Seamus Tunney has risen to the top of the league at the end of September. Seamus has broken the 500 point barrier with 508 points. August leader Andy Barnett drops to 2nd on 489 points, then comes Joe Stone on 480 points, last years champion Barney le Fevre on 476 points and Jon Banks making up the top 5 with 461 points.
I'm pretty much treading water in mid-table. I've done okay in defence for the first time ever but far too many players not pulling their 'Pogba'. Alvaro Morata and Christian Benteke would look prolific in my team! Week 7 was a good example of my managerial skill. I had choice of Captain between Salah (Chelsea Away) or Aguero (Brighton Home), obviously I went for Salah!
MOTM in September was dubbed 'The Battle of the Valleys' (not sure by who?). Seamus Tunney and Rich Collins with a battle to the death in South Wales. The chips were down with both players playing Triple Captain and Seamus with Bench Boost, which ultimately won him the prize money. Seamus finished on 270 points with Rich only a 'Kitchen Sink' adrift on 264 points. Barney Le Fevre was just outside the prize money in 3rd on 257 points.
Rollover '100' - The first person to score exactly 100 points will win £25, the last person will win £100 (could win both if the only person). If no one scores exactly 100 points it will go to the closest person (first person to be closest). In Week 2 Trish / Dave put down a marker of 103 points, which is still leading after Month 2.
The Kick Off Cup will start in December.
Highest Weekly Score Winner - The highest weekly score leader is Andy Barnett with his very creditable 106 points in week 1.
The TJG League is also led by Seamus Tunney with Andy Barnett 2nd after Month 2.
