Month 10 July 2020
So the longest season in history finally comes to an end. Liverpool were crowned Champions, Man Utd got back in the Champions League and Leeds are back in the big time after 16 years.
The Fantasy Kick Off league was decided in the longest month in history and Dave Groves had a storming month to take the title. Dave had saved his Bench Boost until Week 34+ and they yielded 30 points, and remarkably was able to save Triple Captain until the final week. Matt Saxby moved up to finish 2nd overall, Mike Barnard was 3rd and Andy Barnett finished 4th.
MOTM for July wasMarvin Simmonds. Marvin played all of his Chips and threw the Kitchen Sink at July and just beat Dave Groves by 4 points. Marvin finished with 455 points and even had 2 MOTW. Dave Groves finished with 451 points, and Matt Saxby was only 2 points further back.
I had a very poor month, kept picking KDB as Captain, then drop him for the final game and he scores 19 points!  Finally finished in 29th place, securing Mid table obscurity.
Rollover '100' - The first person to score exactly 100 points will win £20, the last person will win £100 (could win both if the only person). It was all going on in Week 30, and amongst all the mayhem David George emerged with the magical 100 points! David won £20 for that and no one else managed to score 100 points, so David secured another £100. There were some near misses, Matt Saxby scored 99 points and even in the last week 2 players went close with 98 and 102 points.
The Kick Off Cup final was competed for by 4 players because of COVID-19. No surprise in the winner as he was MOTM, Marvin Simmonds finished with 455 points, well clear of Runner Up Serif Girgin with 409 points. The other 2 players were in a different Post Code!
Highest Weekly Score Leader - The Highest Weekly score went in Week 30 to Andy Barnett with 126 points. Andy played his Bench Boost and got 32 points. When I played my Bench Boost I scored 1 point!  I actually got the second highest score of 121 points in Week 30, making my pitiful performance in the second half of that week even more disappointing.
The TJG League was won by Mike Barnard with 2300 points followed by Andy Barnett with 2281 points. Marvin Simmonds good last month moved him up to 3rd place.
