Month 2 October 2020
Month 2 - October saw a lot of people staking a claim for top spot but when the dust settled Nathan Whetton was top of the pile with 449 points. Only one point further back is Raj Lal on 448 points, Road Man has dropped to 3rd with 437 points and Hazar Khan stays in the top 4 with 433 points.
MOTM for October was our new leader Nathan Whetton. Nathan was helped by being MOTW twice in October. He had a stroke of luck in Week 4 having picked Sadio Mane as Captain but he didn't play so Vice Captain Son stepped in with 36 points. This was backed up by Captain Kane the following week with 32 points. Nathan finished on 280 points, well clear of joint 2nd Matt Day and Mark Jardine with 264 points. Nathan wins £40, Matt and Mark £10 each.
My month was a 'tale of two players'! In Week 6 it said that James Rodriguez had a 25% of playing so I put Patrick Bamford in my starting XI. Then just before the cut off it said 75% of playing so I switched them back. Patrick Bamford Hat-Trick and 17 points! Bit off the pace at the end of the month but not too far behind in terms of points.
Rollover '100' - The first person to score exactly 100 points will win £25, the last person will win £100 (could win both if the only person). We didn't have to wait very long as in Week 2 new player Hazar Khan scored the magical 100 points to bag himself an early £25 and a chance of winning another £100 (last 2 seasons only one person has scored 100 points). Remember the last person to score 100 points in the season wins the £100 jackpot.
The Kick Off Cup will start in December 2020 with the Top 32 players for the Month of December qualifying for the next round.
Highest Weekly Score Leader - The Highest Weekly score so far was in Week 2 with Hazar Khan scoring 100 points. That is very unlikely to remain the highest score but a good early season marker. Remember its the score shown on the website, so isn't adjusted for extra transfers.
The TJG League is also led by Nathan Whetton on 449 points, with Raj Lal 2nd on 448 points, then Karl Jones and Richard Collins sharing 3rd on 423 points.
