Month 1 September 2020
After the longest season in history we now have potentially the shortest season ever. COVID-19 has reared it's ugly head again meaning no crowds still but there has been lots of goals and shock results to start the season.
The Fantasy Kick Off league is back and we welcome some new players and lose a few but overall there are 56 players (4 more than last season) with a prize pot of £1,120 (see above).
Month 1 - September, got us off to a flying start and at the end of the month one of our new players Road Man (Tony Lee) is in the lead on 218 points, closely followed by Mike Fetters making a nice start on 207 points, Karl Jones is 3rd on 205 points and another new player, Hazar Khan makes up the Top 4 with 204 points.
MOTM for September was Road Man (Tony Lee) with 218 points. Tony went big in Week 1 playing his bench boost (29 points) and Captaining Mo Salah (40 points). Wildcard Week 2 and another good score, which proved enough when the dust settled after Week 3. Mike Fetters just held on to 2nd place with 207 points. 3 good weeks for Mike and no chips or Wildcards in sight. Tony wins £40 and and Mike £20.
I had a mixed bag for Month 1 but overall I'm pleased with 10th place. Week 1 I picked the right Captain in Salah, 40 points, Jimenez 8 points but my other 9 players only managed 13 points! Had a really good Week 2 but picked the wrong Captain.
Rollover '100' - The first person to score exactly 100 points will win £25, the last person will win £100 (could win both if the only person). We didn't have to wait very long as in Week 2 new player Hazar Khan scored the magical 100 points to bag himself an early £25 and a chance of winning another £100 (last 2 seasons only one person has scored 100 points). Remember the last person to score 100 points in the season wins the £100 jackpot.
The Kick Off Cup will start in December 2020 with the Top 32 players for the Month of December qualifying for the next round.
Highest Weekly Score Leader - The Highest Weekly score so far was in Week 2 with Hazar Khan scoring 100 points. That is very unlikely to remain the highest score but a good early season marker. Remember its the score shown on the website, so isn't adjusted for extra transfers.
The TJG League is led by Karl Jones on 205 points, with Seamus Tunney second on 199 points and A.C. Kills (Adam Kilbride) 3rd on 196 points.
