Kick Off Fantasy Football 2021 / 2022

TJG Fantasy Football - Week 33

April 9, 2014
Week - 33 - Liverpool won again thanks to a couple of Stevie G penalties against West Ham. Man City beat Southampton 4 - 1 but their second goal defied the laws of offside unless it's been changed from level with the last defender to 4 yards past! Arsenal were thrashed by Everton and are now in danger of missing out on the Champions League, except they've got an easy run-in. Liverpool v Man City next, who will hold their nerve!

MOTW was Ted Barnwell with a very impressive score of 79 points.  A great response by Ted to losing his overall lead last week and his first MOTW of the season. Ted is also leader of April MOTM with 79 points surprisingly! Ben Wareing still leads overall with 2078 points but only 6 points ahead of Ted, in what has become a fight to the death!

See below for the 4 qualifier's for the Semi-Finals of the TJG Super Cup. Sam Bowcher (63 points) and Ben Gale (58 points) have staked an early claim for a Final Spot.

I had another really good week with 70 points (thanks to Juan Mata - 19 points) and moved up another place to 27th. Also in contention for MOTM.

Overall Leader Week 33 - Ben Wareing - 2078 points

MOTW - Ted Barnwell - 79 points

MOTM April Leader - Ted Barnwell - 79 points

TJG Fantasy Football - Week 32

April 7, 2014
Week - 32 - A great week for Liverpool as they bid for their first title since 1990. They thrashed Spurs as usual, with Manager Tim Sherwood watching from the stands so he could get a better view of how shit Spurs really are!  Chelsea lost to Crystal Palace thanks to a JT o.g. Liverpool's weekend was complete with Arsenal and Man City drawing 1 - 1. 6 games left, win them all and they're Champions, simple as.. ! Arsenal are now looking over their shoulder with Everton only 4 points back with...

TJG Fantasy Football - Week 31

March 28, 2014
Week - 31 - Oh my Lord! Chelsea beat Arsenal  6 - 0 and the referee sends off the wrong player (see above right). Liverpool won 3 - 6 at Cardiff with Luis Suarez scoring another hat trick but Man City could only manage 5 in beating Fulham 5 - 0 with a Ya Ya hat trick. A couple of wonder goals to tell you about, Wayne Rooney scored with a volley from near the half way line but that was topped for me by an amazing volley by Alex Tettey for Norwich against Sunderland. That's just the weekend!

TJG Fantasy Football - Week 30

March 20, 2014
Week - 30 - Time must be running out for David Moyes after another home defeat for Man Utd, losing 0 - 3 to Liverpool. His chances of making the Champions League spot are now "slim and none... and slim may have just left town" Kingpin 1996.  Liverpool were actually awarded 3 penalties (at Old Trafford!) with Steven Gerrard scoring the first two and hitting the post with other. The 3rd penalty saw Vidic sent off after a disgraceful dive by Sturridge. Man City also had Vincent Kompany sent off...

TJG Fantasy Football - Week 29

March 12, 2014
Week - 29 - Not many games this weekend with the FA Cup Quarter finals. Chelsea beat Spurs 4 - 0 which was made a bit flattering with 2 late goals from Demba Ba. The first goal was scored by their 49 year old striker Samuel Eto'o but his back gave way in the celebration (see above). Mourinho would still rather be 9 points behind with 3 games in hand! Man Utd moved closer to that Europa League spot that all their fans crave with a comfortable 0 - 3 win at West Brom. Cardiff beat Fulham 3 - 1 ...

TJG Fantasy Football - Week 28

March 5, 2014
Week - 28 - Lets start with Alan Pardew shall we? He should know better in these times where Football is becoming a non contact sport. However he was fortunate to pick one of the few players who wouldn't go down like a 'Ton of Bricks'.  What did make me laugh was on MOTD they were praising David Meyler for not reacting! The truth was he would've walked over hot coals to lamp him but was held back by about 5 players!  On the pitch Liverpool negotiated a tough fixture winning 0 - 3 at Southamp...

TJG Fantasy Football - Week 27

February 27, 2014
Week - 27 - The Top 4 all won (Chelsea with a late, late winner over Everton). Game of the weekend was at Anfield where Liverpool came out on top 4 - 3 in a thriller with Swansea. Sturridge and Henderson helping themselves to a brace each. Giroud also bagged himself a couple of goals as Arsenal won 4 - 1 against Sunderland. Another contender for miss of the season goes to Edin Dzeko who didn't know his 'arse from his elbow' with the goal at his mercy. He did however make good contact with th...

TJG Fantasy Football - Week 26

February 20, 2014
Week - 26 - The weather finally caught up with the Premier League, with Man City and Everton games postponed. Arsenal and Chelsea both failed to take advantage, so the real winners were Liverpool who twice trailed to Fulham but won 2 - 3 in the end. Tottenham won 0 - 4 at Newcastle with Adebayor grabbing himself another couple of goals.

MOTW was Cary Hastings with an impressive 73 points, especially considering he still has Aaron Ramsey, Sergio Aguero and Adel Taarabt (doesn't even play in t...

TJG Fantasy Football - Week 25

February 10, 2014
Week - 25 - Wow! Liverpool blitzed Arsenal with 4 goals in the first 19 minutes. Defender Martin Skrtel grabbing 2 goals in the first 10 mins. They ended up winning 5 - 1 and Suarez didn't even score (waste of money). Chelsea were also on fire with Eden Hazard scoring a hat-trick, the second goal a sublime interchange with Samuel Eto'o. However Man City could only draw 0 - 0 at Norwich to leave Jose's 'Little Horse' in the lead.

The pressure is really on Rene Meulensteen now after his Fulham...

TJG Fantasy Football - Week 24

February 6, 2014
Week - 24 - Chelsea went to the Etihad and left with all 3 points after a 1 -0 win over Man City. Despite being level on points with City and only 2 points behind Arsenal, Jose Mourinho still thinks that his side "are a little horse that still needs milk and to learn how to jump. A horse that next season can race".

West Ham got back to winning ways despite having 'Big' Andy Carroll sent off for accidently catching Chico Flores in the face while impersonating a helicopter. Chico went dow...
