Kick Off Fantasy Football 2021 / 2022

Week 12 - Another goalkeeping master class this week. Artur Boruc 'Showboated' 15 times before losing the ball to Olivier Giroud and Hugo Lloris did a 'Sally Gunnell' with his kick to give Man City a chance to score after 10 seconds of the game. Mind you it was a sublime finish by 'Jesus of Nazareth'. Man City put 6 past Spurs as AVB's plan to play with no defence, midfield and attack was cruelly exposed. Week 11 - RVP downed his old club Arsenal to put Man Utd back in the title race. Mourinho preserved his record of never losing at the Bridge in the PL, only thanks to an injury time penalty after Ramires went down easier than "a one legged man in an arse kicking competition". Man City lost 1 - 0 to Sunderland (as usual) and Liverpool and Southampton both won to close the gap at the top. Week 10 - Asmir Begovic (Goalkeeper) scored for Stoke after just 12 seconds. Not sure who should be more embarrassed, Artur Boruc the Southampton goalkeeper or all of the Stoke team as Begovic is joint leading scorer!  Elsewhere Man City put 7 (seven) past a hapless Norwich and Arsenal went 5 points clear at the top after beating Liverpool 2 - 0.

Karl Jones was MOTW with a massive 88 points, which also makes him leader of MOTM. It's all change at the top of the league, with new joint leaders ...

Week 9 - Joe Hart what are you doing? He came rushing out of his box allowing Fernando "Mister Sitter" Torres to score a late winner for Chelsea. Luis Suarez scored his first Anfield hat-trick but Arsenal remain top of the league after beating Crystal Palace. Sunderland moved off the bottom after Borini scored a cracking winner in the North East derby.

Will Cooper and Stewart Murdoch shard MOTW with a massive 88 points, however the winner of MOTM is Alister Baldwin with 201 points, narrowly...

Week 8 - England qualified for Brazil 2014 thanks mainly to Andros Townsend, the first England player for 20 years to go forward with the ball!  In the Premier League there were lots of goals around with 3 games finishing 4 - 1 and one 4 - 0. The goal of the week was from Kasami of Fulham, with an absolute 'Worldie'.  

Neil Pattison claimed MOTW with a massive 80 points, MOTM leader is Cary Hastings but would you believe I'm 2nd! Ryan Grogan and Liam Ennis continue to blaze a trail but Jamie...

Week 7 - A new England star is born (or is he another Belgian superstar), Adnan Januzaj scores 2 cracking goals to save David Moyes' job. Performance of the week though must go to West Ham who won beat Tottenham 3 - 0 at 3 point lane, a wake up call for AVB!

Jamie Hinchliffe claimed MOTW with 59 points, which also makes him MOTM leader but lots of people close behind (including me!). Ryan Grogan and Liam Ennis are pulling away at the top but as they say it's still early days.

Week 6 - Luis 'The Biter' Suarez was back and he got his teeth stuck into managerless Sunderland with 2 goals. Manchester City lost to Aston Villa and Man United have had their worse start to a season since their manager didn't have a Scottish accent. Lukaku was like a man possessed and looked like scoring 5 goals, had to settle for 2.

Week 5 - Manchester City thrashed United 4 - 1 to put the pressure on David Moyes. Could Fergie come out of retirement before Christmas? Mesut Özil continued to impress with a hat-trick of assists but the star of the weekend was Leighton Baines with two sublime free kicks to defeat West Ham. Liverpool lost their unbeaten record going down 1 - 0 at home to Southampton.

Week 4 - Mesut Özil made an impressive start for Arsenal but was upstaged by man of the season Aaron Ramsey with 2 more goals in a 3 - 1 win at Sunderland. Sturridge scored again but Liverpool lost their 100% record despite old boy Jonjo Shelvey gifting them 2 goals.  Everton beat Chelsea 1 - 0 in the big game of the weekend.
