Month 6 January 2017
The Top 5 have made a break for it. Barney Le Fevre leads the way, regaining top spot in style to lead by 40 points on 1362 points. Up to second place is Ally Townend on 1322 points and he is closely followed by Ben Wareing on 1319 points, Karl Jones on 1318 points and Danny Barran on 1317 points. After that there's a huge 60 point gap to the field.
A horrendous month of Fantasy Football management saw me drop further back to 37th place and over 200 points off the lead. I have an excuse that I've been distracted by Last Man Standing where I was the Last Man to fail in Week 12 when Stoke drew with Everton. I could smell the £870.
MOTM for January was our new Leader Barney Le Fevre who just held off his nearest challenger, Ally Townend. Barney scored 273 points and Ally 269 points. Max Richardson missed out on any prizemoney 15 points further back. Barney picks up £50 for his troubles and Ally walks away with £25.
Rollover '100' Winner - We have a winner! Trish Dutfield / Dave Targett scored the magic 100 points in week 10 to scoop the £50 Jackpot. The leader of the 2nd rollover is Joe Stone with 98 points in Week 21.* I also have some exciting news about the £50 contingency, what ever is left at the end of the season will go to the player who finishes in that position. e.g. if it's still £50 the person who finishes 50th overall will win the money.
The TJG Cup entered the Final 32 stage in January with the Top 16 players in the month of January qualifying for the next round (see below right). Dave Groves and David MacFarlane actually shared 16th place and both qualify. The unlucky punters this month were Karl Jones, Ted Barnwell and Richard Collins, who all just missed out on qualification. To qualify in February you have to finish in the Top 8 of those 16 (17) left based on the month of February.
Highest Weekly Score Leader - Andy McIntosh - 104 points (Week 14)
