Month 10 May 2017
So our biggest season ever comes to an end with a dramatic end of season battle for the title. In the end it was down to two players who threw everything at it and Barney Le Fevre came out on top with 2432 points, just 7 points clear of Ben Wareing with 2425 points. Congratulations to Barney who bags himself 200 quid and the 2016 / 17 TJG FF Trophy. Ben picks up a Ton for 2nd place, then we have Ally Townend 3rd with 2328 points (£50), Paul Wheatcroft 4th with 2281 points (£25) and finally Dave Groves 5th (£20).
I had sailed off into oblivion a long time ago but did have one bright moment in the last month, scoring 100 points in Wk37 and scooping the massive jackpot! Oh no someone won that in Wk36, never mind I still win a minimum £25, oh no someone else also scored 100 points in Week 37, so £12.50 it was! The rest was a shambles after my 3rd place finish last season, nothing to be proud of finishing 57th.
MOTM for May was Dave Groves, who had an amazing month. He scooped the 100 point jackpot in Week 36, scored 189 points in Week 37, then held off Barney Le Fevre by 2 points to win the MOTM with 367 points (£50), Barney Le Fevre claimed 2nd place (£25)with 365 points.
Rollover '100' Winner - We have a winner! Trish Dutfield / Dave Targett scored the magic 100 points in week 10 to scoop the £50 Jackpot. Then it the final month we had our 2nd Jackpot winner Dave Groves winning £130 in Wk36, leaving Joe Stone broken hearted after leading for 15 weeks. Then in Week 37 Alister Baldwin and Marc O'Brien shared £25 (minimum Jackpot) both scoring 100 points. This left the door open for Paul Wheatcroft to claim another £25 Jackpot in Week 38 with 99 points. This mayhem in the final month meant that £40 was used from the contingency, leaving £10 for Seamus Tunney who finished 10th overall.
The Final of the TJG Cup ws also a close encounter. David Fieldhouse won an exciting Cup Final scoring 355 points just beating Ben Wareing with 342 points. David wins £50 and a trophy (to follow), Ben gets £25 as Runner-Up.
Highest Weekly Score Leader - The highest  score was blown out of the water in Week 37 with some massive scores but none better than Ben Wareing with 199 points. Ben bags another £50 for his troubles.
