Week 17 - This week saw the sad passing of broadcasting legend, David Coleman. He was of course famous for the 'Colemanballs' gaffs. "The future isn't about yesterday, it's about today", David Pleat. "Of course mistakes are made, some are even accidental", Graham Taylor. There's no argument, he's arguably in the form of his life", Mark Lawrenson.

Spurs gave the job to Tim Sherwood after his masterstroke of bringing Emanuel Adebayor in from the cold to score 2 goals in a great 3 - 2 win at Southampton. A wonder strike by teenage sensation Ross Barkley saw Everton win 2 - 1 at Swansea and are now only 2 points off the Premiership lead. In the big game of the weekend Arsenal and Chelsea played out a dour 0 - 0 draw. As David Coleman would've said "This goal needs a game". So No. 1 at Christmas are Liverpool after another 2 goals, assist and MOTM performance by Luis Suarez. Man City keep up the pressure after a 4 - 2 win at Fulham. A 'worldie'of an own goal by Vincent Kompany had put Fulham back level but late strikes by Navas and Milner secured the win.

MOTW was Revanth Katakamsetti with a very decent 99 points. Ted Barnwell has thrown down a marker by leading December MOTM with 345 points and Ted is now also the Overall leader with 1135 points.

I'm starting to tread water a bit now. I compare my team to the leaders and I've got a lot of the same players but missing that extra spark in midfield and attack, like a Yaya or a Wazza!

Leader Week 17 - Ted Barnwell - 1135 Points

Manager of the Week - Revanth Katakamsetti  - 99 Points
