Kick Off Fantasy Football 2021 / 2022

Week 6 - Luis 'The Biter' Suarez was back and he got his teeth stuck into managerless Sunderland with 2 goals. Manchester City lost to Aston Villa and Man United have had their worse start to a season since their manager didn't have a Scottish accent. Lukaku was like a man possessed and looked like scoring 5 goals, had to settle for 2.

A bit of 'Girl Power' this week with the high score of the week going to Chloe Woolgar with a massive 89 points and jill Desmond with 81 points (Jonathan I know you scored 84 pts but didn't think you would appreciate being included in GP).

A very exciting September MOTM ended with Ben Wareing holding on to claim the £40 prize money. Liam Ennis was a close 2nd with 195 pts and Matthew Millard 3rd with 189 pts.

Ryan Grogan has reclaimed overall lead with 399 points, 8 clear of Ben Wareing, with Liam Ennis a further 7 points back. These three have opened up a bit of a gap over the peloton.

Now for the funny bit! My Finance colleagues are taking great delight seeing me sink to 'Rock Bottom'. Yes that's right the Fantasy Football gods have conspired against me to make me the laughing stock of TJG Fantasy Football. I had another disastrous week - Aguero drafted in, only to pick up a knock (probably walked into the sofa). That meant I had to pick a Southampton Striker who came on for the last 10 minutes. My chosen player to curse this week is Ozil!

Ironicly Phil McDowall who hadn't looked at his team since the start of the season, let me loose with his 'Wildcard' and scored 73 points!
